A small, close-knit community, Wright sits right in the heart of the Thunder Basin National Grassland and coal mining country. With the grasslands right in their back yard, wildlife viewing can be spectacular for antelope and deer. Panther Park, located right in town, is stocked with trout and bass and fishing is excellent. A bike/jogging path provide a great way to get outside for a quick breath of fresh air. The Wright Recreation Center offers swimming, racquetball, tennis courts, weight room and a full size gym. The Centennial Museum offers a view into the rich history of southern Campbell County. The local 9-hole golf course is challenging and open to the public.
