Island Lake Campground

First come, first served, 16-day limit campsites. This is grizzly bear country; practice safe food storage techniques. Composed of five loops, some camping sites overlook Island Lake, large alpine meadow or a dense wooded area.

Directions:
From Cody: Take State Rte. 120 W. for 15.7 mi. to State Rte. 296 (Sunlight/Basin sign). Turn left onto Rte. 296 (Chief Joseph Scenic Byway) and go 46.6 mi. to U.S. Rte. 212 (Beartooth Scenic Byway). Turn right onto Rte. 212 and go 12.4 mi.
