One of the most important archaeological sites of the late-prehistoric Plains Indians. The Vore site is a natural sinkhole that was used as a bison trap from about 1500 to 1800 A.D. At least five different tribes used the Vore site during 300 years and at least 10,000 bison were trapped there.

Admission Rates:
No formal admission at this time, but donations are strongly requested.
Directions:
The Vore Buffalo Jump is 15 miles NE of Sundance and immediately adjacent to I-90. Westbound take Exit 205 at Beulah and drive 3.5 miles west on the old highway that parallels I-90. Eastbound, take Exit 199, then turn on to the access road and drive three miles east.
Hours:
Accessible at all times, but open with interpretive staff 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily from mid-June to mid-August
