The Best of the West Awaits You in Lusk, Wyoming. Welcome to Lusk, the real jewel of the plains situated on the historic Cheyenne and Black Hills Stage route. Visiting Lusk will give you an opportunity to marvel at the beauty of the countryside as you explore the history of the area in addition to the best of services and accommodations. The Stagecoach museum had a remarkable collection of historical items including a fully outfitted coach, one of only two of its kind in existence, the other located in the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. You can also enjoy yourself at the great 9-hole golf course located near the source of the Niobrara River.

The Legend of Rawhide presented the second weekend depicts an episode of our history. A cast of over 500 are volunteers with horses and covered wagons present the story of the settlers, Indians and army cavalry. Wildlife is abundant in Niobrara County and viewing opportunities occur frequently as you drive along the backroads of the prairie empire. Mule deer, antelope, wild turkey, sage grouse and several species of hawks are common in the area. For additional information you can contact the Niobrara Chamber of Commerce
