Cutter Races are a Wyoming Tradition

On any given winter afternoon, spectators gather at race tracks across Wyoming for a western tradition. Cutter races feature two horses, a driver and a chariot racing together down a quarter mile of track. For decades, the tradition of the cutter - or chariot - races have drawn spectators to Afton in Star Valley, as well as Jackson and Saratoga. Horse and race lovers alike will enjoy an afternoon at these races.
