Cowboy poetry brings together the wit, wisdom, humor and humanity of the cowboy heritage. Born out of long, lonely rides out on the range and nights spent together around flickering campfires, the art of cowboy poetry continues to thrive in Wyoming with a number events throughout the year.
Cowboy Poetry Gatherings are increasing in popularity and a new generation of cowboy poets, writers and singers is ensuring the traditions will continue. From Cody to Cheyenne, and Encampment to Sheridan the Wyoming shows are as good as it gets. Other activities at the events include range ballads, story tellers, historic presentations, seminars, western singers and more.
