John Farson had funded an irrigation project for Eden and Farson area thrive. The Big Sandy Pony Express Station is located in Farson. In 1862 it was burned by Indians. Farson is some distance from other towns. The Farson Mercantile is an oasis for those who love ice cream. It has been renowned as the “home of the big cone” state wide.
