Arrive in Dubois any Thursday until August 16 and camp at the Dubois Wind River KOA, enjoying all the scenery of the wilderness while camping on the Wind River in the town of Dubois. Thursday afternoon take a half day hike to the petroglyphs with Dubois Museum Education Guide Sally Wulbrecht. See rock images and learn their meanings and histories from Sally. Enjoy a delicious sack lunch from the Taylor Creek Deli during your hike.
Upon arriving back at the campground, relax by the Wind River or take a dip in the indoor, heated swimming pool
Friday get ready for the Dubois Rodeo where dinner is served by Jeff and Feffs Catering. Then head for the stands and get ready to experience a local rodeo where the competition is friendly but the cowgirls and cowboys are serious. See the dudes from the guest ranches compete to grab ribbons off the steers’ tails. The kids compete in hilarious events like mutton bustin’ and more. It is a late night of fun.
Mosey on back to your KOA campsite for one more night of camping along the Wind River.
