For families and individuals wanting a hands-on camping and horse riding experience, we offer horse packing trips that will leave you in awe. We are located near beautiful Jackson Hole and Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, and would love to share a true wilderness experience with you.

Set on the pristine Shoshone National Forest our trips offer delicious food, comfortable accommodations and great company. We can focus trips to meet your individual needs- hiking, riding, fishing, photography, fall hunting and drop trips.

RIDING TRIPS

Pack Trips: Hands-on adventurous camping experience, we offer horse pack trips where we will set up camp in a few different locations throughout your stay, using pack horses to transport supplies from place to place.

Camp Rides: We also offer a riding and camping experience where you stay at a base camp each night, located on beautiful Bear Creek. Pack horses are not necessary on this ride. Enjoy the chance to ride horses over open meadows, through pine covered mountains, and along red rock cliffs. Alternatively, the area has some wonderful trout fishing opportunities and fantastic hiking trails for those wishing to take time off riding.

FISHING

Join us for a first class fishing trip. Whether it be fly fishing, spin casting, a week long trip or just a day long excursion, we have a trip for you located near Dubois, Wyoming. These lakes and rivers give you the opportunity for spectacular dry fishing or spin casting for a variety of trout. Come fish for Brookies, native Cutthroat, Rainbows or Browns.

HUNTING

Bear Basin Adventures offers first class, fair chase, horseback bow and rifle elk hunting in the rugged mountains of northwest Wyoming, in the Washakie Wilderness of the Shoshone National Forest. The quality of hunt is second to none and our success rates stand up to anyone’s. We pride ourselves on the friends and memories that we make while in camp.

DROP TRIPS

We can supply the pack animals and guide to take you and/or your gear into the wilderness and then come pick back to pick you up at a designated time.
