NOD, Needs of Dubois, is partnering up with the Chance Phelps Foundation to present the 2010 High Country Cowboy Gathering. Featured are cowboy singer and poet, Ian Tyson and rock and roll band, Kevin Bacon and the Bacon Brothers Band.
Friday Kevin Bacon and the Bacon Brothers Band preform on stage out doors at the Dubois Town Park.
Saturday, August 21, 2010, Tyson entertains on the same stage. The entertainment starts at 7:00. Tickets are $40.00 per performance or you may purchase two tickets, one for each night for $70.00.
This year is the fourth annual gathering in Dubois. Waddie Mitchell started the event out in 2007, and 2008 brought Don Edwards. Last year Gary Mc Mahan preformed his legendary song about Dubois, "The Old Double Diamond". The event is a total fund raiser for the people of Dubois. NOD has helped several families and individuals over the past two years. And the Chance Phelps Foundation brings veterans to The Wind River valley for a Western Experience.
Be a part of the fun and fund raising. This year's event includes pig wrestling (call 307-455-2606 for entry information as tems are limited and going fast), chain saw carvers, bed races, youth events and several local vendors all starting in the Town Park at Noon on Friday and at 10:00 Saturday morning.
Tickets are $40.00 for Friday night and $40.00 for Saturday night. You may purchase two tickets, one for each musical event for $70.00.
