Grand Encampment Museum

The Grand Encampment Museum is a replica pioneer town with original structures including the Lake Creek Stage Station, Wolfard School, Peryam Homestead House, Tie Hack Cabin and Parkison Home. They are the Official National Repository of the United States Forest Service Memorabilia with a fire lookout tower, Forest Service guard station, two-story outhouse and three towers from the aerial tramway that served the copper mining industry from 1903 to 1908. In their Doc Culleton Interpretive Center and other buildings are displays related to the mining, ranching and timber history of the Grand Encampment Valley. The admission is free but donations are greatly appreciated. They hold Living History in July.
