The Gros Ventre Campground is the closest campground to the town of Jackson and offers 350 individual campsites and 5 large group sites along the Gros Ventre River.  All campsites include a picnic table, a fire pit, and nearby bathrooms include flush toilets. No shower facilities are located on site. The nearest shower facilities are at Colter Bay Village Launderette for a small fee. Bring your tent or enjoy the area with a self-contained camper or RV. Sites are large enough for a variety of camping needs; however hook-ups are not available. As the largest campground in the park, it is the last to fill and RV’s are welcome!     

You will find an ideal vantage point for early morning photos of the entire Grand Teton Mountain Range from this location. Although you may enjoy relaxing in this remote area of the valley, the conveniences of shopping and dining in Jackson are just a short drive away. Be on the look out for bison – they enjoy this area of the Park the best!

Please note a maximum of six people and two vehicles are allowed per individual site. Group sites can be reserved for 10-75 people up to one year in advance by calling the Grand Teton Lodge Company Reservation Office. Space is available on a first come basis and reservations are not taken for individual camp sites.
