We hiked up the trail above Old Faithful to the Observation Point. This was in October 2008. There was about a foot of freshly fallen snow on the ground. Steam was belching from the areas around Old Faithful.... then the grand event took place. It was spectacular! Go see the hot springs when the snow is flying! Nothing can describe the scene or peacefulness of Yellowstone at the close of the tourist season!
