Budget motel in the heart of motel row in Evanston. Family owned since 1928, the Hillcrest offers clean, comfortable rooms for overnight or long term stays. Friendly service prevails at the motel which has a laundromat on premisis and at the Veranda Bar, which is also on site. The Hillcrest features some "family-style" suites with connecting doors and hot-tub rooms. During the summer, Billy-Bob's Cowboy Chuckwagon operates just to the west of the Hillcrest. Billy-Bob's is open from 11 am until dusk, each day, weather permitting, from Memorial Day until Labor Day. Lunch and Dinner are served from cast iron Dutch ovens, just like the cowboys did in the old west and yet today. It is "Gourmet Grub Served Cowboy Style." Billy-Bob's can accomidate group tours of up to 100 people.
