Wear snug but not tight clothing, this will help keep from chaffing. If jeans aren't your thing bike riding clothing doubles very well as horse back riding clothing. You should wear a hard soled shoe with a heel. This will keep your feet from getting sore and is safer for you also. Make sure you have some rain gear you never know. Jackets should not be to loose as they can get caught on the saddle horn when getting on and off of the horse.
