Ten buildings of exhibits includes Mountain Man Jim Baker's cabin on Natl. Historic Register & two-story Strobridge log house built in 1888. Local settler, ranching, cowboy, mountain-man and outlaw history. Main building is historic Savery Schoolhouse. Landscaped grounds for picnics. Twenty minutes to Med-Bow Natl. Forest and camping. Accessable from new High Savery Reservoir recreation area. One of many museums included in Carbon County scenic loop tour. Basement community room available to book for special events. Please call ahead for large tour groups. Open 7 days a week, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, Memorial Day through late October. Free Admission.

Directions:
From Craig, Co.- take Hwy 13 N. to Baggs, WY. Turn east on WY. Hwy 70- 11 miles to Savery.
From Interstate 80, take exit #187 south 50 miles to Baggs and turn east onto Hwy. 70. From Laramie and Cheyenne (summer only) Take Hwy 130 from Laramie to Saratoga over the Snowy Range. Travel south to Encampment and then turn west onto Hwy. 70 over Battle Pass and on to Savery. This is the most scenic route when the weather is warmer. Passes are closed in the winter and spring.
