The stark landscape of Southwest Wyoming hides a vast array of natural treasures – from the mineral riches which started so much of the area’s settlements to the fossilized remains of ancient animals in the layers of rock of Fossil Butte National Monument. Fort Bridger was the last stop in Wyoming for the major emigrant trails and today’s visitors can get of sense of what those early pioneers saw in Southwest Wyoming.
