At Wyoming’s state parks, breathtaking scenery, wildlife and all sorts of recreational opportunities abound. In park reservoirs, visitors can swim, boat, wind surf, water ski and fish – for walleye, trout and several other species of fish. Many parks offer camping, picnicking and biking and nature trails that lead to overlooks and scenic mountain vistas.

When it comes to national parks, forests and monuments, Wyoming boasts a number of firsts, including America’s first national monument, Devils Tower. Wyoming is also home to the nations's first national forest, Shoshone National Forest, which remains one of the largest forests in the country, and Yellowstone National Park, the world's first national park.
