Sugarloaf is in Medicine Bow National Forest.
The campground is a single loop meandering along a spruce and fir-lined hillside with 16 campsites in the midst of a fisherman's paradise of 102 recreational lakes. This is a rustic, picturesque campground where every site has delightful views of the Snowy Range. The campground is convenient to a variety of hiking trails and two crystal clear snow-melt lakes - Libby and Lewis Lakes. Three popular trailheads originate in this area. You must carry your boat to the water's edge.
Open mid-July through end of September. Some first-come, first-served sites, some reservation-optional sites.
Elevation is 10,700 feet.
