The Upper Hideout compound is nestled amid a grove of tall pines up in the Big Horn Mountains. It is one of the first-class lodging establishments owned and operated by The Hideout at Flitner Ranch. Guests stay in private log cabins that have modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. All cabins have porches offering breathtaking views. There is a cozy central lodge where folks congregate and meals are served. Called the Cook Shack, a name which belies its equally nice facilities. Perhaps you'd prefer to book the sumptious, three-story owner's lodge for an especially private retreat or hunting trip, as the Flitners only helicopter in a few times a year. Because of the remote and high altitude location (approximately 8,400 ft elevation), visitors and supplies are packed in and out of the Upper Hideout. However you decide to get to the Upper Hideout, you will find the journey in and out as rewarding as the stay itself.
