The CFAC exists due to a unique collaboration of the City of Rock Springs, Sweetwater County and the local School District #1. With this cooperation, residents and visitors alike can enjoy this cultural highlight in Southwest Wyoming's high desert country. The CFAC offers a permanent collection and changing displays of fine art. Admission is free to the gallery which houses the Rock Springs High School's extensive collection of 20th-century art including works by Norman Rockwell, Grandma Moses, Rafino Tamayo and Raphael Sawyer as well as regional and local artists. Also featuring a year round schedule of performing arts programs which include classical and contemporary music, dance and theatrical productions. The local school-age children have opportunities to attend performances and workshops with these visiting artists.
