The centerpiece of The Powder Horn Community is the 27-hole championship golf course. Whether you are a weekend duffer or a serious tournament player, this course will cater to your game. The Mountain Nine and Stag Nine opened for play in 1997 followed by the opening of the Eagle Nine in 2004. Every measure was taken to preserve the natural beauty surrounding The Powder Horn’s three distinct nines.
The Mountain Nine gives a nod to St. Andrews with large greens, 30 huge bunkers and links-style play, while the Stag Nine features woods and wetlands, an Old Red Barn and challenging target golf. Finishing up the 27-holes, the Eagle Nine offers length and opportunities for creative play with a mix of meadow and creek-side terrain. As one of Wyoming’s most challenging nines, it features a 629-yard par five hole that is somewhat narrow and unforgiving.
The gem of The Powder Horn is the 30,000 sq. ft. clubhouse, opened in 2005, where rustic luxury meets Western hospitality. You’ll be greeted by Jenny Mackenzie who was recently promoted to clubhouse manager. For dining, Remington’s offers fresh, creative cuisine and is open to the public for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. At the helm is executive chef Mark Ferrante. Completing the clubhouse: Cowboy Bar, outdoor patio area and Turn Grill, banquet rooms, pro shop, men’s and women’s member-only locker rooms. Adjacent to the clubhouse are the pool facility and grill, 24-hour fitness center and two tennis courts with the latest shock-absorbent surfaces.
