Rodeos

It likely comes as no surprise that rodeo is Wyoming’s state sport. This is the Cowboy State, after all. From Wrangler-clad residents to the iconic Steamboat (a bucking bronc from Wheatland who was unrideable for nearly 10 years) appearing on Wyoming’s state license plates, rodeo is firmly ingrained in the heart of Wyoming. Fans young and old flock to these events celebrating the art of cowboying. From the Daddy of ‘em All, Cheyenne Frontier Days, to the nightly Cody Nite Rodeo in Cody, the Rodeo Capital of the world, Wyoming has rodeos for everyone. Almost every town, big or small, hosts a rodeo throughout the summer where locals and visitors gather to watch amateur and professional rodeo athletes compete in their chosen sport. Wyoming also hosts the High School Finals Rodeo and College National Finals Rodeo. From bull riding to barrel racing you will not want to miss out on this western culture staple.
