Picturesque. Historic. Vibrant. It’s where Old West meets New West – a pocket of world-class culture wrapped up in hometown hospitality and authentic real West charm await you in Sheridan, Wyoming.
Cradled by the iconic Bighorn Mountain range, Sheridan extends a warm hospitality as legendary as the streets of historic downtown. Fabled cowboys once kicked up their boots at the Sheridan Inn, while modern mavericks revel in Old West charm at Sheridan’s bistros, cafes and brewpubs.
Outdoor recreation is near limitless when you're roaming the open range on horseback, backpacking unchartered territory or fishing the pristine mountain waters.
The Historic Sheridan Inn, treasure of Sheridan and rich in history, legend and lore is reopening its renowned doors once again. The old stomping grounds of Buffalo Bill and his legendary Wild West Show will soon be welcoming overnight visitors and hungry patrons. Kicking things off was the opening of Open Range Bar and Grill in January 2015.
2015 will continue to be a huge year for Sheridan, with the grand opening of the newly constructed, state-of-the-art, Brinton Museum and the reopening of the Historic Sheridan Inn.
In summer 2015, the Brinton Museum will open its new state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly facility. One of its architecturally defining features is rammed earth wall supporting the spine of the building. The facility will host 4 distinct galleries and a bistro with magnificent mountain vistas.
